To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Pauper EDH is an alternative format that uses any uncommon creature as the commander, and the 99 are commons. Technically this deck is EDH legal too!
Commander Legends gives us this amazing simic commander called Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty! It's the first simic commander I'm excited to try in PDH, Thunderous Snapper came close.
The game plan is simple, ramp until you can get Imoti on board & protect her, then start cascading like crazy.
Our big buds come in a few types:
Flexible Hexproof: Bastion Inventor, Striped Riverwinder, Wingfold Pteron and more.
Cycling: River Serpent, Windcaller Aven, Krosan Tusker and more.
Cards that are 6cmc but cost us less to cast: Thundering Tanadon, Tangle Golem, Hooting Mandrills and more.
Quality: Ulamog's Crusher, Annoyed Altisaur, Orchard Elemental and more.
Utility creatures: Vigorspore Wurm, Canal Courier and Elvish Aberration
So, what are we cascading into? The biggest creatures hopefully cascade into other big creatures but we can also cascade into permanent ramp that can draw; Mind Stone, Commander's Sphere, Llanowar Visionary or great utility cards; Whispersilk Cloak, Broken Fall, Fleetfeather Sandals etc.
Worth noting is that when you cascade, the cascading spell is still on the stack so if you don't already have a creature on the board Auras resolve first & fizzle (Fortitude fizzles, but returns to our hand so it's fine), which is why I've instead included protection that sticks around like Seal of Removal (can also be soft removal), Elgaud Shieldmate, Broken Fall and Neurok Stealthsuit. Bouncing Imoti back to our hand isn't that much of a negative since she cascades when we play her.
Other notable cards are Night Soil for graveyard hate & chump blockers, Fierce Empath can be cascaded into and lets us pick what big creature we want depending on the boardstate.
For card draw we have Yavimaya Elder, efficient card draw in Deep Analysis & Treasure Cruise (cascades!) and Read the Tides which cascades and could act as soft removal.
Removal is definitely the weak point of the deck, Kaldheim added Run Ashore which cascades and we do have the costly Universal Solvent / Scour from Existence for the really scary stuff but we're relying on our opponents to hopefully deal with their respective threats.
Similarly decks that go wide can circumvent our big creatures which can be an issue.
The nastiest weakness is probably how Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty's toughness is 1, she dies to a breeze.
I've omitted Rhystic Study & Mystic Remora, include them if you want to. banned in pdh!
