Pauper EDH is an alternative format that uses any uncommon creature as the commander and the 99 are commons.
This mono-blue deck is built around Avalanche Caller. The caller enables a Freed from the Real + High Tide combo much like Wind Zendikon can do. This produces infinite mana which we can use with Train of Thought or Whispers of the Muse to find Stream of Thought, which we can mill our opponents with to win.
While that is the main goal of the deck we shouldn't underestimate the ability to make 4/4's for 2 mana, if our opponents are open we can cause some real damage.
There's also an High Tide + Archaeomancer + Snap line for infinite mana, it goes like this:
(play High Tide -> Arch. -> High Tide -> Flood of Recollection/Mnemonic Wall -> High Tide -> Snap -> Arch. -> Snap etc)
But it's very unlikely, keep an eye out though.
The deck runs a lot of mana rocks in order to enable the Caller's ability as much as possible for blocking / pressure and to pay for all the card draw in the deck. There's also a respectable amount of tutors to grab the various combo pieces.
When 4/4s aren't good enough for blocking we have a lot of bounce spells tied to card draw (Repeal, Repulse, Into the Roil etc), as well as Fade Away, Ravenform and Fall from Favor. We also have some counterspells to protect our combo / disrupt our opponents.
I chose to omit Rhystic Study and Mystic Remora, feel free to include them if you wish.
Weaknesses of the deck are aggressive decks that our 4/4's can't block, we also have no recursion for our main combo which is an issue, you could include the Peregrine Drake + Ghostly Flicker combo as a backup but I decided not to.
In the end I'm not entirely satisfied with this build of the deck, I'd love to lean more towards the 4/4 lands but I couldn't figure out how. If you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know!
