To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This azorius deck is built around Bruna, the Light Alabaster, an unique commander ideal for Voltron strategies.
Bruna grabs Auras from the battlefield, your hand and your graveyard when she attacks and you may attach them to her as she does so. This means discarding auras isn't a negative (unless opponents remove your graveyard) which is why the deck runs an absolute ton of card draw that puts cards in the graveyard; Frantic Search, Tolarian Winds, Windfall et cetera. And since a fifth of the deck is auras we're very likely to have auras to discard, there's also Nagging Thoughts to discard.
Brunas ability also ignores mana costs which means we can run heavy auras like Eldrazi Conscription, Celestial Mantle, Spectra ward and so on.
As if the draw-discard theme wasn't weird enough I've also decided to run no mana rocks in the deck. Instead we run Stony Silence to punish mana rocks (green goes unpunished though) and other artifacts while we 'ramp' with cards like Cartographer's Hawk, Knight of the White Orchid, Oreskos Explorer, Keeper of the Accord, Kor Cartographer, Solemn Simulacrum and Stoic Farmer.
The deck does have a Wayfarer's Bauble which doesn't work with Stony Silence out but hopefully you can use it before you play Stony, or just discard it with your card draw. Similarly our Haste sources Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots and Haunted Cloak can't be equipped with Stony on the board, but if Stony is sticking around for that long you're probably doing great anyway. We also still have haste from Hall of the Bandit Lord.
Since we don't have any mana rocks we can run cards that destroy all permanents such as Hour of Revelation, Planar Cleansing, Ondu Inversion, Boompile and Nevinyrral's Disk without much drawback.
Some notable cards are the Psychic Impetus and Vow of Duty / Flight cards, they double as soft removal and buff for Bruna when she attacks, similarly Corrupted Conscience can steal a creature or give Bruna infect which means you only need a bit more buffs for lethal attacks.
Other notable cards are Silent Arbiter which slows aggression down without harming the voltron game plan, there's also Ominous Seas which is great since we draw a ton of cards, worst case it can cycle later in the game. Tidal Barracuda is also worth mentioning, it acts as a Silence on our turn which means we're safe to play a hasted Bruna and it gives everyone flash on opponents turns.
I've omitted Rhystic Study, Smothering Tithe and Mystic Remora, run them if you wish.
At the moment there's probably too many auras & too many draw-discard spells, once I can playtest I'll definitely make some changes. However with a lot of auras you're not completely dead to graveyard hate which is good.
I'm also a little worried the deck will play out very similarly in every game and will become boring, but I'm confident it's unique enough to entertain for a few games.
