Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.

This deck is designed to have it's creatures be highly resilient.
Try to play a creature with "graft" prior to Marchesa (not required but very helpful), and use graft to move a +1/+1 counter to Marchesa when she enters the battlefield.
At this point, very few things can permanently get rid of your creatures, only taking control or exiling can do it (or a few other cards with weird abilities, of course).
When your creatures die, if they have a +1/+1 counter on them, Marchesa brings them back at the next end step (including herself).
Most creatures in this deck either start on the battlefield with +1/+1 counters, or they have "undying" (in which case the creature comes back regardless of if it has +1/+1 counters, it just comes back immediately if it didn't).

Can you find the infinite combo? (Hint: it involves lots of zombies)

Powerful cards to tutor for:

  • Sidisi, Undead Vizier [Having it exploit itself (after using "graft" to put a counter on it) makes you search your library for a card at every end step]
  • Cytoplast Manipulator [Graft can be used to put a counter on your opponents creatures when they enter the battlefield. Then you can just take control of them]
  • Beguiler of Wills [If you have lots of creatures but still are having a hard time winning, maybe taking control of your opponents creatures will help]
  • Oblivion Stone [This deck loves board wipes]
  • Flayer of the Hatebound [Playing this will create damaging consequences for destroying your creatures]

Typical win goal: Gain enough creatures over time to deal enough combat damage to win.

-Weakness: cards like "Rest in Peace" will completely break Marchesa's core ability to keep your creatures coming back. If you know you are playing against that card (or ones like it), use a tutor to get "Sadistic Sacrament" and remove those cards from you opponent's library before they are played.
