Grenzo Mulligan

> Principle

Rule 103.4 from the Comprehensive Rules states that you can basically mulligan 7 times, in other words, draw 8 hands before you mulligan to zero eventually, if you decide to. The odds of not drawing a specific card after drawing a hand of 7 is roughly 92%, which makes 55% when taken to the 8 hands you get to draw before mulliganning to 0.

This is for just 1 card, meaning with various win conditions this becomes all the more feasible. Note the obvious fact that when you mulligan, the rest of your hand goes on the bottom of your library, in any order, on the other hand, you will not bottom any card drawing your first hand.

These are 2 facts I've taken into account when making this Grenzo, which revolves around 3 easy to setup, win combos : Kiki-Jiki, Dockside Extortionist, and Godo. Note the paramount fact that the first 2 creatures can be Grenzoed into existence immediatly, whereas Godo can be Grenzoed by paying one more mana when casting Grenzo, before doing the Grenzoing.

The idea behind having almost 50 lands is that it lets you freely mulligan like I said earlier without taking too much of backlash from it, although I reduced the number of lands making an upgraded version of the deck, the reason being mulliganning less overrall by adding combo pieces.

> How This Deck Wins

It is quite obvious that Rakdos does not have many ressources to produce infinite mana. This is nevertheless the main "win condition" of the deck, not a real win condition because having infinite mana does not win you the game outright, but Grenzo himself is a mana sink, and therefore can put on your board the rest of your combos in order to then win.

Some of these mana combos are just called "Lots of Mana" because you can only pay so much life ; note that these combos produce 6 Grenzo activations for 36 life, with this amount of combos in the deck.

The essential win win combos in this deck are the following : Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker ; Godo, Bandit Warlord ; Crackdown Construct.
Kiki-Jiki wins with the age-old Zealous Conscript combo, but notably with a lesser known Conspicuous Snoop combo : you need to Grenzo-out snoop and a top-of-library tutor, tutor Kiki-Jiki on top so that snoop has its activated ability and will be able to combo off next turn, right before your draw step. Last but not least, he can also win with Thornbite Staff and a self-sac outlet.
Godo wins with Helm of the Host, and is overrall very useful as he can tutor other equipments such as Thornbite Staff, Sword of the Paruns and even Umbral Mantle which can, under any suspicions, combo off with Crackdown Construct.

There is one more part which occupies however 5 cards of space, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician : he's neither in the mana category or the outright win category, he can, under the right circumstances, be a way to draw at most 39 cards out of your deck - mimicking an impressive Ad Nauseam - and most likely win after that, so you could say he's a hidden piece of the mana category.
