Artisan

Overall Aegar Control is 17 - 2 over five events
1 double elimination championship (3 Circuit points)
2 Swiss Championship

8/11/23: Circuit Championship Artisan (3-0)
Winners R1 - Vs. Pickles Samauri 2 - 0
Winners R2 - Vs. Decksmith UW Fliers 2 - 0
Winners Finals - Vs. Waddell GW Life Gain 2 - 0
Finals - Vs. Waddell Forfeit

Notes from event, This was the debut of Aegar Control. Deck went Undefeated on the night. Beat last weeks champion and runner up.

9/2/23: Ranked match (1 - 0)
RM - Vs. Wood Dawg Mono red burn 2 - 0

Notes from set, Aegar control was able to take the onslaught early, stabilize, take over the game and win. G2 Wood Dawg unable to get anything going control was too strong. Avalanche caller put in work

11/10/23: Swiss Championship Artisan (4-0)
R1 - Vs. Ty BG Food 2 - 0
R2 - Vs. Beau GU Mutate 2 - 0
R3 - Vs. DeckSmith UW Fliers 2 - 1
R4 - Vs. wood dawg Mono R Dwarves 2 - 0

Notes from event, this was an 11 man 4* swiss artisan tournament. Beating mutate was challenging used avalanche caller to go wide for the win in G2. Avalanche caller was a great card all night allowing me to pummel my opponents each turn. Also late game caller is mean being able to activate without tapping making haste lands w/hexproof. Was able to win G3 vs Decksmith off a side board card that gave me the opportunity to cast cinderclasm back to back feeding the first one to a counter spell. Aegar is 8 - 0 in ranked games with this championship. last note in the finals this deck eats aggro for breakfast.

12/7/23: Swiss 2nd place Artisan (2-1)
R1 - Vs. Mitch BU Fairy 2 - 0
R2 - Vs. Waddell GW Life Gain 0 - 2
R3 - Vs. DeckSmith UW Fliers 2 - 1

Notes from event, 8 man 4* 3 round event. Had two big wins over Mitch and DeckSmith, lost to Waddell. Prior to this loss Aegar was undefeated in ranked and tournament play. Aegar has won this mu before. This time It was not the deck but me as a player. I played a really bad set vs Waddell and lost for it. 3 blunders in 2 games.

1/12/24: Swiss 3rd place Artisan (3-1)
R1 - Vs. Slump BR Vampires 1 - 0 - 2
R2 - Vs. Pickles GU Snow 0 - 2
R3 - Vs. Ty GW Enchantments 2 - 1
R4 - Vs. wood dawg GUW counters 2-0

Notes from event,12 man event, deck played great all night outside playing into green one drop hexproof spells vs Pickles in r2. In r1 i timed out slump once i realized the slow player was going to to take us to time, i pinned him g1 and kept the game going as long as i could then went to time in g2 and won the set vs Vampires 1-0-2. Beat former champ enchantments in 3 games, lost g2 to the enchantment that grows his creature outside squash range. The deck (tys) has been modified too far from my original build to win consistently imo. R3 i wanted Waddell but got wood dawg and blew him out in an easy 2 - 0. Artisan Aegar is very strong.

2/9/24: Swiss Championship Artisan (4-0)
R1 - Vs. Holyman RW Knights 2 - 1
R2 - Vs. Pickles GU Snow 2 - 0
R3 - Vs. KP Mono Black ctrl 2 - 1
R4 - Vs. DeckSmith Mono White aggro 2-0

Notes from event,13 man event. The night before the event i spent time retooling and streamlining the deck. Added a 25th land and 2 more total burn spells Obliterating Bolt. in R1 almost went to time vs Holyman lost g1, then won g2 and g3 in 30 mins.
r2 i avenged my loss vs pickles GU snow deck used the new burn tech and test of talents to overcome the temp. R3 played mono black ctrl, went all three games in g2 i mulliganed down to 5 cards. the set should have went to time. Finals i 2-0ed decksmith playing white aggro. Aegar eats aggro. The changes to the deck worked out great the extra land smoothed out the deck and allowed my glimpse to hit relevant spells rather than lands.
