This deck focuses on building 1-1 counters, and casting x-cost spells for higher output. Aside from making strong creatures and attacking, you can sacrifice them with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to do direct damage to each opponent. The main win condition is to build counters and have Simic Ascendency out. Creatures can easily gain counters through other creatures, proliferate, sorceries and enchantments. Some creatures provide additional abilities to all creatures with 1-1 counters, including: flying, first strike, tap target creatures, trample, tap for Mana, shroud, unblockable, and life link.

A random feature is the inclusion of Sen Triplets, which does not fit with counter build, but has an interesting effect not looked for.

The planeswalkers have a variety of usefull abilities including putting creatures on the battlefield for 'free' with Nissa, put loyalty on planeswalkers, counters, and of course Sorin is just nasty.

With Unbound Flourishing, juice up the x-cost spells.(I'm excited to get Starnheim Unleashed, just for those rare opportunities when I have Doubling Season, Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, and Unbound Flourishing out!)

The low draw power slows this deck down, making it more playable with casual groups. My favorite thing to do is wait until I build large amounts of Mana and cast Torment of Hailfire.

This deck appears to be legal in EDH / Commander.
