Unusual Yuriko, for multiplayer fun games. This is NOT a combo deck or a cEDH. It's decently good to play fun games. Not the cheapest you can make, but there are many alternative cards you can replace mantaining the same concept. It performs still pretty well even in 1v1.
There are many Yuriko base decks and high CMC strategies. Probably the most common was having many unblockables creatures, then make them "ninjas" and then ninjutsu some ninja to drop damage with Yuriko's ability. The high CMC cards are generally based on extra turns cards, but can also use powerful spells instead.
Another strategy is have many ninjas and changelings, then make them unblockable. Basically it's the opposite way, but the result can be the same. This was a less appealing option because there weren't so many ninjas before Neo Kamigawa. Now it's better.
So this "unusual" Yuriko deck is based on this last option, with the inclusion of more ninjas, and changelings with some options to make them unblockable. At the end, I wanted another way to use the high CMC cards for my commander's ability. I wanted use high CMC powerful (and usable) creatures, instead of classic "power spells". This way also matches very well the inclusion of Satoru Umezawa. I've choosen Ulamog the Infinite Gyre because can reshuffle useful things (and himself) into the deck, Ancient Stone Idol because it can be easily casted without spend 10 mana, same as Elder Deep Fiend that can be reduced sacrificing Yuriko. Void Winnower is experimental, my plan is to play him with Satoru. All these are pretty well served as top deck cards with the help of Conduit of Ruin, that will also eventually reduce their cost. Another inclusion, as ETB effect with Satoru, is Spawning Kraken, that can produce a 9/9 by himself, but can also be much more effective with some changelings in play. Changelings, with a kraken and octopus have a nice sinergy with Whelming Wave. Flood of Tears instead could play a big boy with ease.
Collective Restraint and Propaganda are very very powerful in a multiplayer game for this deck. This is a multiplayer focused deck, so it's pretty common get a lot of damage, expecially if you are starting to be "dangerous".
Feel free to comment what you think or give a like if you enjoy my plan! ;)
P.S.: Deck is based on my collection, that's why some cards are from a specific edition or foil, and why I didn't put some good (but costly) cards, like Mana Drain. For this reason the estimated price can be higher than expected. It could be far more cheaper just without foil cards and with cheaper alternatives.
I keep updating the deck to improve it, as I keep updating my collection, but I follow the concept above.
