Discard/Burn On A Budget (Modern)

Keep control of the board and your opponent's hand with efficient spells, enchantments and creatures. Quest of the Nihil Stone and Shrieking Affliction are there for when you've emptied his/her hand completely. While Master of the Feast is there to keep cards in his/her hand while swinging for 5 or effective blocking. Waste Not adds some crazy utility and keeps you in the game with the 2/2 tokens, keeping cards in hand and providing mana. Liliana Vess adds to the discard motif, allows you to search for a needed card and brings back all discarded creatures that are still in graveyards back to play under your control.

While the sideboard is almost as expensive as the actual deck itself, the Kloaghan's Commands can be switched out for a mix of Profane Command and Incendiary Command.

The maybe-board is there to help keep you on color and make the deck more viable. Simply remove 4 Mountains, 4 Swamps, and the 4 Temple lands from the main deck and put in the 4 fetchlands and the 8 dual lands.
