To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This is a horror-tribal-mill deck using Captain N´ghathrod (from now on called Cpt. Mill) as the first actually good commander for horrors. It is an upgraded version of the Precon from 2022.
Try to enable a passive mill-engine with e.g. Altar of the Brood, Court of Cunning, Memory Erosion, Mesmeric Orb, Mindcrank, Phenax, God of Deception or Ruin Crab (opponents hate that trick).
Then cast some horrors to be able to achieve combat damage so your opponent´s mill even more cards. As soon as Cpt. Mill is on the board, abuse your opponent´s decks by letting them mill a LOT of cards with Bruvac the Grandiloquent, Cut your Losses, Drown in Dreams, Fractured Sanity, Maddening Cacophony, Mind Funeral or Glimpse the Unthinkable.
Animate Dead, Reanimate or Wrexial, the Risen Deep allow you to get access to opponent´s GY even if Cpt. Mill isn´t on the board.
With Counterspell, Last Word, Drown in the Loch and Spell Pierce you are able to counter the most important spells.
Obviously, you try to win by milling out your opponents. Alternatively, you have a great variety of horror-creatures beeing able to win by combat damage at worst, like Chasm Skulker, Consuming Aberration, Elder Brain, Toxrill, the Corrosive or Sewer Nemesis. The best mill combination is Bruvac the Grandiloquent + either Cut your Losses or kicked Maddening Cacophony.
