(MODERN) Budget burn (Modern)

Manabase kinda works. The lack of 2 Eidolon the great revel is managed by playing 2 Vexing devil. I liked the Devil when Lurrus of the dream den was still in the sideboard, but afterban I'm thinking on switching them with 2 Light up the stage (late game Devil is a bit of a dead draw I think, it mostly comes in then gets Fatal push -ed // Prismatic ending // and so on). The rest of the list is very stock: the only thing that I've switched is the manabase, that I tried to keep as cheap as possible. If you have the money, replace Clifftop Retreat (maybe I'm unlucky but T1 Retreat happened to me quite some times) and 3 mountains with 4 Inspiring Vantage. Also of course if you're willing to bring the manabase to the next level definitely get some red fetches and 4 Sunbaked Canyon.

Also the sideboard is close to the stock Burn list. For keeping the deck as cheap as possible I've cut 2 Rest in peace and added more Roiling vortex (which is of course not the best card in the format, but can help putting on a clock vs control decks, cascade decks, and eventually negate lifegain). If you have them I strongly suggest to add them instead of 1 vortex and 1 wildifre/palm, because sideboard is uncovered from graveyard strategies. Cleansing wildfire is mainly for the Tron matchup but can come in if opponent is heavy on Urza's saga or non-basics shenanigans. Deflecting Palm I think is a must paired with Smash to Smithereens against Hammer-time. Palm also is a really cool in general against Eldrazi or big creatures, usually dealing quite some damage for only 2 mana. Lastly the 2 Path to exile comes in when you feel that you don't are fast enough to kill the opponent before their first big threat comes in. Before the Lurrus ban it was just one, but now that the >=3 drops are virtually "unbanned" you'll see them often in these first days of the new meta, so I think it makes sense. Also I've cut the 2 Sanctifier en-Vec from the sideboard; the reason for this was that your manabase is just not good enough to consistenly hit double white, so often it was just a dead draw in hand. Card of course is good, and this was the only reason, which of course leaves us open to graveyard strategies (or stuff like Kroxa, for example). One note on Smash to Smithereens: don't cut it for shattering spree! Chalice of the void on 1 means we're dead, so we need to have an artfifact removal for 2 or more. This also has a lava spike in it, so that's why we're playing it.

In my opinion, the deck of course was hitted by the Lurrus ban but no that hard like other decks did. Fetching Lurrus was of course a joy when you didn't have anything to do at 3, but that happened not so often. So I'm still running burn mainly identically to before, because the list get the job done. In these days of meta-shift you will find some cluncky decks on the ladder and that 's when the deck shines the most, mainly because the path of the deck is linear. There are other cards I'm evaluating, for example one or more Risk factor in the sideboard against control decks is what I'm interested in at the moment. I'm seeing lists that run Blood Moon now, but I don't think it's worth it. Also I'm updating the list when I get new cards: when this deck was posted list had 0 eidolons and was running 2 light up the stage and 2 vexing devil. This are just my toughts and if you try the list I hope you enjoy it.
