To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Viewing revision 55. There is a more recent version of this deck.
This deck started out as an idea to utilize cool cards that have either cool mechanic or cool art, that suits the overall vibe of the deck, but don't see that much play cause of better options available. What it turned out is one of my favourite casual EDH decks to play - it can surprise people and catch them off-guard, because of somewhat random card selection. The deck runs only 32 lands with some mana rocks, but this is completely fine - all you really need is to get Kwain out on turn 2 and start drawing.
The deck is very political - you can let people hassle with each-other, while offer favors in card draw/polymorphing/removing game pieces that are problematic for the board. You are usually safe, cause people want to draw those extra cards, but if need be, we can turn the group hug into self-hug (?!) with Narset and go full value, this of course makes the table turn on us most likely, so play Narset, Parter of Veils with care! With that being said, don't jam out threats as soon as you aquire them - get all those counterspells and other nuisances ready and just explode when you feel confident enough!
Wincons are the known Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal; I rarely use it - most of the time it's more fun to just stick, lets say, Suspend onto the scepter, rather than go infinite BUT if you do like going infinite, there is Mind Over Matter in here - pair it up with Kwain, Itinerant Meddler, and you can draw your whole deck. End the game with Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or Laboratory Maniac, backed up with Dovin's Veto. You can also go the fun route of just trying to resolve and protect your Triskaidekaphile OR there is also the Approach of the Second Sun - because we draw a lot, it's quite easy to win off of it - just make sure to save your counter-magic to resolve it!
