Kitty (Modern) [Revision 9]

I’m seriously thinking about expanding into a more competitive format - like Modern - from EDH. Now that we’ve gotten back out into the big wide world, I might be able to play some Modern events. I just need a fun, budget deck that’s capable of winning some games. This is my first shot.

STRATEGY:
Smack down as many cats as you can as fast as you can, then play one or two copies of King of the Pride for huge buffs. The buffs work really well with Adorned Pouncer and the tokens from Regal Caracal and Cubwarden.

There are some neat synergies in here with Adorned Pouncer + mutate, mutating Cubwarden and Huntmaster Liger together, and mutating on a monstrous Fleecemane Lion. These are the kinds of things that should close out a game quickly.

The deck reduces an invisible opponent's life total to zero on turn five every game, and though this is a turn slower than I would like optimally, the consistency and relentlessness of the deck - coupled with the incidental but effective lifegain - makes this deck competition viable.

NOTES:
I don’t play Modern currently and I’m not very familiar with the format, so I am very open to suggestions. In fact, I’m asking for them!

If you are an experienced Modern player, please consider leaving your thoughts and advice in the comments - just keep in mind that my budget is very low: preferably under $1.00 per card, but I can make exceptions.
