Viewing revision 44. There is a more recent version of this deck.
Dr. Kylie Moriarty and her deity, Pharika, did not quite succeed at defeating the Phyrenxians using a modified form of infect against the Phyrexians. But they now fully understand the infection and how to deal with it. Essence of clones of Melira is helpful, but it's not a cure. Pharika's old leeches, modified and stripped of darkness, prove an effective treatment.
Cards that remove all counters work against -1/-1 counters. And the secret therapeutic weapons are Quillspike, which can convert infect into power for itself, and Heartmender, with Hapatra's Mark, the Hex Parasite, and Vampire Hexmage as backup remedies. Now, Quillspike, with its strange mana cost, forced me to make two deck compromises in order to balance the deck. A clone of Huatli, the Sun's Heart, and the strange but interesting Cauldron Haze suffice to keep the three colors equalized.
This deck also draws in a lesser form on the old idea of lifegain and resurrection. And on the concept that if one is going to master at bringing creatures back, it's best to select creatures that do things upon arrival. To regulate the dead, they produce a clone of Athreos.
Kylie and Pharika once again turn to Felidar Sovereign and his wife Healer of the Pride to lead the way, knowing Phyrexian powers will have no permanent effects on them now. They consider this fight to save England and Theros from Phyrexia to be a Test of Endurance, but one they can mange. Fifty life will provide enough power to revoke all infection everywhere.
Upon seeing what's happened to Ajani, Kylie and Pharika produce a clone of him, and use him alongside Huatli as forerunners, to scout ahead and tell the Felidar Sovereign if it is safe to advance.
The deck was working fair, but it seemed to lack the power to actually solve anything except infect counters. Into the breach steps Kozilek, having reformed himself. He is initially a threat to Kylie and Pharika, but the two are masters of medicine. They medicate him, which gives him sanity. Instead of Kozilek the Great Distortion, he becomes Kozilek, the great Correction, starting with himself so he will no longer need their medication.
He brings them a small number of Eldrazi, under his control and now sworn to defend England rather than distort it, and he conscripts Pharika into joining forces with him.
