Taigam, Outai Master Commander MTGO Banlist

The gameplan is to cast Taigam protected with countermagic or with Cavern of souls out, than start attacking with him running to valueland. If you can squeeze some extra turns in the mix you are almost assured to win. The fact that once Taigam is in play it is so difficult to interact with what you are doing is what is most pushed about him, because you are pretty sure you will gain rebound from your spells (not counting rare tricks with venser, shaper savant or spell queller). I chose to include an enchantment package tutorable with enlightened tutor (not sure if Idyllic is worth it). The main reason for its inclusion is the unique effects they bring to the table, not replaceable with instants or sorceries. Maze of Ith permits Taigam to attack freely through blockers, and so does elspeth, while killing the opponent reasonably fast. I chose not to run an absurd number of counterspells, although I run a few, because I feel that Taigam's ability permits me to win almost all counterwars.
