Mardu doesn't have much counter play outside of Mana Tithe, Red Elemental Blast, or Pyroblast, however, if you select "Human" for Cavern of Souls to prevent Children of Korlis, Esper Sentinel, Grand Abolisher, Imperial Recruiter, Kaalia, Zenith Seeker, Kaalia of the Vast from being countered. They're all incredible cards in this deck.
Exile Savage Beating with Spellbinder and equip to target attacking creature whom will go unblocked. GG's.
Master of Cruelties isn't the mythic you want to pull from 2X2, but it is insanely good in this deck; it's a damn near win con. Attack with Kaalia, then put Master of Cruelties onto the battlefield tapped and attacking by way of Kaalia's triggered ability. Assign Master of Cruelties damage first, then Kaalia's damage to follow. BOOM, you've just KO'ed an opponent no matter how much life they have!
