Playing around with a mid-rangy strategy for Temur come post RTR-THS T2 format and I was playing a Bant Chord deck before. With access to Wooded Foothills and the all start buddy team of Mystic, Carytid, Courser, pumping out RUG threats early seems pretty dooable and easy. The objective is obviously to stick any of the planeswalkers early and then pile on quickly. Things like Ankle Shanker and Butcher of the Horde are going to be difficult to overcome, but I think any thing on the ground should be easy enough to over power.

I love Mindswipe, and it is posed to replace Plasma Capture that I used to run in Bant Chord. I like that it goes to the dome regardless if the spell is countered or not, so that's great flexibility for a counterspell.

When I ran this deck as a Bant variant, there were fewer win conditions that didn't involve put fatties onto board and swing. With a solid cadre of planeswalkers that come down early, items like the Imposter to clone, and Keranos to bring the late game to halt quickly, this deck seems fun and challenging to play against.

I'm not certain how Pearl Lake Ancient will perform, but I think either way the card should be a blow out most of the time. Most of the playtesting I've putz around with leaves me with ways to generate more mana than I can do stuff with.

Out of SB we can replace our Chords with Genesis Hydra, Anger for quick aggro beat down decks (although Anger almost hurts me more than it would probably hurt them considering I will more than likely lose most of my ramp), Disdainful Stroke for situations that call for countering items like Butcher of the Horde, boardwipes, and Ankleshanker. Temur Charm to power through other Courser decks, add additional counter magic and get ride of problem creatures, Mistcutter for Mono-U match ups, and an additional two Impersonators for a mirror match or Walkers match-up.
