To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Riders on the Storm is a great deck to play. It's just incredibly satisfying to be able to control your opponent and shape the game the way you want. How fun it is when you can blow up opponent’s lands. There are the exile effects that remove troublesome creatures, artifacts and enchantments from the game. Controlling the action makes this deck one of the best and most fun.
Deck Explained
The idea of the deck is simple: destroy your opponent’s lands and to win the game in the end. Everything we don't want on the field is exiled or destroyed. Play your land destruction spells and prevent your opponent from casting their cards.
Creature(s) / Planeswalker(s)
• We’re playing with 4 creatures.
• Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer creates havoc on the battlefield, his ability to play opponents land cards plays into the deck. Avalanche Riders and White Orchid Phantoms ETB (Enter the Battlefield) trigger allows for more land destruction, which multiplies the spells we already play. In addition, Ephemerate allows for great card synergy with Avalanche Riders and White Orchid Phantom. Aven Mindcensor provides taxing effects which will certainly make opponent cast their creature removal spells early in the game on them. This should leave Avalanche Riders and White Orchid Phantom free to create chaos in the later game.
Instant and Sorceries
• There are 2 instants and 4 sorceries in this deck. The sorceries are for land destruction. March of Otherworldly Light is for exiling artifacts, creatures and enchantments. Sundering Eruption gives you the option of destroying a land or playing as a land.
Artifact/Enchantments
• There are no artifacts or enchantments in the main deck.
Lands
• The deck contains 4 basic mountains and 4 plains, 4 Rustvale Bridge artifact lands, 4 Field of Ruin, 2 Flagstones of Trokair, 4 Arid Mesa and 4 Sunbaked Canyon. When you cast Boom // Bust, Rustvale Bridge will not be effected and Flagstones of Trokair will simply replace itself with another Plain basic land.
Sideboard
• 4 Leyline of Sanctity for Burn effects, 4 Revoke Existence for Indestructible artifacts (i.e. The One Ring), 4 Obsidian Charmaw for additional non-basic land removal and 3 Ashes of the Abhorrent for graveyard hate.
