Commune with the Gods and Wirewood Herald are there to find your combo pieces. Rite of Consumption is there to finish the game with a huge creature without having to go through combat.

This deck isn't trying to be hyper-competitive. The one thing I purposefully turned down is the protection of the combo. I could have thrown in some Ranger's Guiles or something like that, but as I play this deck casually with my friends I want them to have some chance to interrupt my combos. If you want to improve on this build though I'll encourage you to add cards like that to the deck.

Also, I had a personal restriction of a max of 2 of each uncommon and no rares.

Have fun!
