To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
A blue, red control deck
1.- Delver of Secrets + Hidden Strings = Super fast control deck. This little combo allows you to play EVEN 3 "2cmc" cards on turn 2. Hidden Strings plays for free (you untap your lands), which can help you to play Augur of Bolas and retrieve an instant, which you will able to play on the same turn or your opponent's one! This mechanic is great indeed, and Cathedral of War makes my Delver of Secrets a fearsome attacker.
2.- Nivix Cyclops comes as the main winning con, the deck is full of burn spells, so you can expect your cyclops to attack almost each turn.
3.- Aetherling is the second winning condition, in case cyclops were unable to, due to control or anything else. Aetherling is almost impossible to get rid of, and it can deal insane direct damage too.
Best Matches:
VS Boros: Easy match, all creatures will be killed like flies. Cyclops are almost impervious against their burn and attacks.
VS Naya Blitz: Easy match too. Same case as boros, is a matter of kill everything he puts down. 3 mana is all you need to get rid of Thalia (sometimes two), either for this or against boros.
VS Gruul: Another easy, but tricky one. Boars can me a nuissance, since they usually don't die with Rolling Temblor, but luckily, they don't kill cyclops either, and Searing Spear and Mizzium Mortars still does the job well. Prepare your Searing Spear or Izzet Charm to burn a creature about to be bloodrushed with Ghor-clan Rampager for a 2-1 card advantage.
VS Mono-Red: Actually this creatures are kind smaller than naya blitz one. Thundermaw Hellkite and Stonewright are the most menacing threats on the deck. Save up Turn // Burn for thundermaw, and your Augur of Bolas will just block it and kill it. Stonewright can be killed easily with burn spells.
VS Selesnya Midrange. Loxodon Smither is tough, but Mizzium Mortars can take it with a single shot, even a Cyclops with Think Twice. Silverblade Paladin isn't a problem here, and you can wait for Rancor to be enchanted to kill the creatures, so you make them lose 2 cards. Other big dudes can be cleansed with Turn // Burn.
Rakdos: As same as with other aggro decks, this match isn't a problem at all. Menacing threats include Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch, Rakdos Return and Sire of Insanity. Just save up your potential creature killers for those little two, and save up a counter in case of Rakdos Return.
Competitive Matches
Junk Rites: This is a decitions match. Having Turn // Burn in hand and counters must be used for Unburial Rites and big creatures. Tormod's Crypt is its kryptonite, but you can't entirely rely that you will draw it. Their life gaining makes this a hard match, but totally possible.
Jund: Almost all creatures are fragile to your spells, but choose your targets wisely. Huntmaster of the Fells can be a mess if you don't deal with it early. Expect Slaughter Games on the next game. Fortunately, they almost all the time will say "Delver of Secrets" or "Nivix Cyclops", depending of your first game. Kessig Wolf Run is your main weakness, so is recomended to save up Cyclonic Rift and burns when your opponent depelts its mana on Wolf Run for a creature. Also Sire of Insanity can be menacing, keep an eye on it and take it down with counters or Turn // Burn.
Naya Midrange: Thragtusk is not that menacing, but can be annoying, while Restoration Angel can be expected to kill your Delver of Secrets. Save up some creatures in hand, and don't overplay them, you will just get wiped out. One Delver or one Cyclops can do the job correctly. Save up Turn // Burn for Trostani, Selesnya's Voice. Play with lots of counters for this one. Tamiyo can get its emblem with not many difficults on this match.
Bad Matches
VS Bant Auras. Not impossible, but will be really hard to get rid of Geist of Saint Traft and Invisible Stalker, so sideboard Rolling Temblor and counters on this one. If they manage to enchant one of their hexproofers, you're done if you don't play an overloaded Mizzium Mortars or Cyclonic Rift quickly.
VS The Rock. This seem like the worst match the deck has at the moment. Regenerating creatures are such a pain, and Turn // Burn is not an absolute solution either, they can just regenerate before Turn activates. Best you can expect is to bounce their regenerate dudes and counter them whenever you see them. Otherwise, is just a waste of cards to kill a single creature.
Luckily, there will be a card that will solve this problem in M14. And also, Rapid Hybridization can work against those pesky dudes. Take all four when facing this deck.
