To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Hi Deckstats friends, I'm updating my 8-Not mono black deck, hope You like it as much as I do.
The land base is simple. 19 Swamps, 3 Mutavaults and 1 Urborg, tomb of Yawgmoth. Mutavault can cast black mana if Urborg is on play and of course it can be a 2-2 You can attack or block with.
The aim of the deck is just destroy the opponent's hand as soon as possible and then just make the opponent lose his entire life with The Rack and Shrieking Affliction. Now I'll explain you how you can do this with this deck.
This deck has 14 pieces of hand destruction. Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek, Raven's Crime (With some lands on hand you can cast them from the graveyard, so You could have like 20 pieces of hand destruction) and Wrench Mind which is perfect because if you're playing against decks without artifacts you can make the oponent lose 2 cards, and if he has artifact cards like Spellskite you can force him to discard it if he doesn't want to lose another card.
Then we have our win conditions, our masterpieces, The Rack, and Shrieking Affliction, those cards are the most important of our deck so try to get them as soon as possible and in order to do that.
We only have 3 creatures in this deck, they are Nyxathid which is perfect if you make him lose all of his cards (it can be easily a 6-6 or 5-5). You don't need a lot of creatures because if You control your opponent since the first turn you can take their creatures out with your discard cards or with our removals. We have Bile blight which is perfect against Tokens decks with the Rabblemaster, Elspeth, White tokens, etc. We have Dismember which is very good if you only have 1 mana left because you may pay 4 lifes and Go for the throat which is in my opinion one of the best black removals.
Now we're gonna explain our Sideboard.
