This deck come from http://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/much-abrew-about-nothing-modern-uw-emeria (credit where it's due :-).

The changes I made all go towards making the gameplan tighter: "Survive until an Emeria and/or a Sun Titan can come online, all the while keeing the amount of opposing threats/game changers down, and playing many ETB creatures to ressurect lateron".

  • The deck splashes green now, as well. It is a tight mana base, but it works. Sakura-Tribe Elder gives the deck more speed towards the late game, which is something it really needed, in my opinion. Kitchen Finks would have worked before, but add more power when you need it against control. Green also opens many interesting paths in the sideboard, e.g. Reclamation Sage or Beast Within. Splashing green comes at a very reduced price (basically, shocking myself a bit more often and sometimes running out of basics for Path to Exile or Sakura-Tribe Elder)
  • All counters but for two Negate are out. It's just not my playstyle, and this deck rarely wants to hold back mana, but wants to flood the board with small creatures that enable the mid- to late-game
  • I put in more Plains, as the 13 it had originally to me after playtesting seemed too few. Right now, I am at 16, which enables Emeria most of the games I play it
  • Detention Sphere is an all-star in this deck. Specially against fast linear decks and token startegies, removing several creatures at once without killing mine turns games. I had 2 in before, but am trying a Beast Within now, as well, as it can also hit lands and is instant-speed (against combo)
  • Restoration Angel in for some more blinking power, as well as a serious midrange threat

I have played this quite a bit now, and am very, very happy with it.

This deck is so cheap, and it does have game against a wide range of decks. When it draws well, it can deal with just about everything, and has so much interaction that I always enjoy playing it

Any comments and suggestions welcome!
