I have a big place in my heart for all those beautiful huge creatures with lots of text on them.
Now I can play them :-)
These are not the best fatties, or the ones that end games the quickest. They are the ones I own that I most wanted to play, combined with a selection of protection and utility fatties that are needed to compensate the fact that I am NOT playing all the Blightsteel Colossi and Avacyns.
The deck has a selection of setup cards for turns 1-5 (ramp, card selection, card draw, additional damage), and then roundabout 25 badass creatures to win the game with. The plan is to start playing at least one fatty per turn from turn 7 onwards at the latest.
Thrasios and Bruse Tarl are nice fits for the this strategy, as Thrasios is an early blocker, as well as a bit of ramp and card draw, and Bruse is easy to cast alongside a fatty in the later game to give an already hasty creature double strike to boot. His lifelink can be relevant in the late game, if it comes down to a damage race.
