  1. Shalai, Voice of Plenty is the default safety commander, targeted removal? No.
  2. Karametra if you want to reliably have mana to do all the angel things, is indestructible and a 6/7 eventually is pretty good!
  3. Sigarda, Host of Herons is if you're going up against a lot of aristocrat-type decks, angels are expensive and we don't want to sacrifice them.
    3.5 You could also play the new Sigarda, font of blessings, for more hexproof shenanigans and to cast angels off the top of the deck

The goal is to play mana, play maybe a mana dork or a cost reducer, 3-4 angels & start smacking.
