This highly disruptive Kroxa build aims to cut off the opponents from their resources and tries to win with infinite mana and Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger.
Synergies:
-> Our opponents discard can be combined with cards like Waste Not to outvalue them.
-> Since we hardly play any creatures, we play numerous board wipes as well as single target removal spells and artifact removal to cut off resources from our opponents, remove hate and generate card advantageHandle hate:
Numerous effects can delay our game plan by blocking our commander or combos. Especially graveyard hate and EDT hate like Hushbringer or Torpor Orb.
Cards like Rest in Peace, Leyline of the Void, Ground Seal or Silent Gravestone will stop our WGD combo. Grafdigger's Cage will also stop out Citadel Storm combo. This is another good reason for us to play the abundant artifact removal that red provides. In the case of enchantments, we are left with Chaos Warp and Feed the Swarm.
Also cards that allow only one spell per turn are problematic.Combo:
We only need Worldgorger Dragon in our graveyard and Animate Dead or Dance of the Dead or Necromancy in our hand. Due to the fragile nature of this combo we run backup protection like Pyroblast or Imp's Mischief.
(-> We now Cast Animate Dead, targeting Worldgorger Dragon.
-> Due to Worldgorger Dragon's ETB Animate Dead gets exiled along with all our other permanents.
-> Animate Dead's LTB ability triggers, sacrificing Worldgorger Dragon.
-> All permanents exiled with Worldgorger Dragon enter the battlefield.
-> We can now target Worldgorger Dragon with Animate Dead again and in response, tap all our lands/mana artifacts for mana
-> Note that this creates an infinte loop which can only be stopped by another creature in a graveyard to target for our enchantment, echantment destruction, creature destruction or an instant speed sacrifice outlet.)
With infinite mana we can cast Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger as often as needed by putting him back in the command zone after his ETB is resolved.Backup combo:
We run Bolas's Citadel Storm as a backup combo.
(Bolas's Citadel + Aetherflux Reservoir + Sensei's Divining Top
-> Repeatedly use Sensei's Divining Top activated ability to put it on top of your library and cast it for one life with Bolas's Citadel triggering Aetherflux Reservoir each time. Then use Aetherflux Reservoirs activated ability 3 times.
-> Most of the time you can start comboing off with just Citadel and Top paying one life per card till you run into Aetherflux or created enough value)This combo has a numerous advantages in this build.
-> This combo operates of another axis than our regular graveyard based combo.
-> Bolas's Citadel is super strong carddraw and Sensei's Divining Top is also a powerhouse on it's own leaving this combo with only one dead card
-> Bolas's Citadel in combination with Sensei's Divining Top wins the game most of the time. Also Bolas's Citadel can be combined exquisite with Necropotence
-> Insidious Dreams can easy be used to assemble both combos.Expensive Upgrades: Imperial Seal, Vampiric Tutor, Chains of Mephistopheles, Lion's Eye Diamond, Wheel of Fortune
