The key to victory in this deck is the infinite mana combo from Pili-Pala and Grand Architect. With that, you can eighter deal an infinite amount of damage with Pyromatics or let someone draw their whole deck with Blue Sun's Zenith.
Let's have look what this deck offers:
Card Selection:
It is important to get access to the combo pieces as fast as possible. Therefore cards like Serum Visions, Sleight of Hand and Anticipate are perfect tools to dig through your deck. Also Halimar Depths can be used if you have it in your stard hand and no other one drop to play.
An other important ability is transmute provided by Drift of Phantasm and Muddle the Mixture. With that you can eighter grab Pili-Pala or Grand Architect or, if you already got both, get the finishing spells Pyromatics or Blue Sun's Zenith.
Defense:
The hardest part with this deck is to defend Grand Architect and Pili-Pala once they are in play. The best way to do this is by countering all harmfull spells which are in most cases instants and sorceries. Swan Song, Mana Leak and Muddle the Mixture doing well.
Killing Spells:
My favourite spell in this deck is Pyromatics because if you can resolve this with infinite amount of mana then it is harder to deal with than a banefire as example which can easy be redirect.
Weakness:
The worst szenario is an opponent on the turn playing thoughtseize or similar spells right away to disable combo pieces. If we are on the play than we can at least counter with a swan song.
Perfect Play:
Turn 1: Land, keep it available for a swan song if needed
Turn 2: Land + Pili-Pala that hopefully survive one turn
Turn 3: Land and hold some counterspells. do not play grand architect because we need one more mana to start the combo. summoning sickness does not matter because it is not a tap ability. If you know that your opponent can not destroy your creatures then you can play grand architect as well.
Turn 4: Land + Grand Architect. Now you have infinite mana. Use transmute or draw spells to get something to finish your opponents.
This requires at least 3 Lands, 1 Grand Architect, 1 Pili-Pala and eigther a transmute spell or a finisher.
