This Nethroi, Apex of Death deck proved to be a very resilient...thing...in my pod, and at whatever group I play in.

It hits the same beats as most reanimation decks, but with the added bonus that your commander can grab a lot more from the graveyard all at once. Here's a brief rundown.

HOW THIS DECK WINS:

1.) The Classic Hulkpile with a Twist

The Classic Karmic Guide and Reveillark infinite combo, but now our commander can grab it all at once from the graveyard if the opportunity arises, or we can bring a Protean Hulk into the mix to grab the parts we need from the deck.

Get an Aristocrat (Zulaport Cutthroat) and a Sac Outlet (Viscera Seer, or Carrion Feeder into play. Commence killing them and using their triggers to create an infinite looping reanimation cycle. ProTip, Altar of Dementia can be used to replace both an Aristocrat and a Sac Outlet, as instead of doing 1 damage per reanimation cycle, it will mill your opponents out 4 cards, and eventually to an empty deck.

PS. Heres how the hulk pile works.
Sac Protean Hulk > Grab Karmic Guide and Vicera Seer/ Carrion Feeder > reanimate Protean Hulk with KG etb > sac protean hulk again > grab reveillark and whatever other 1cmc thing u want > sac

2.) Beat Face

Basically not allowing other people to defend themselves. Once you have reached enough mana, you can spam kill/reanimate your creatures while Butcher of Malakir is out and just swing in every or every-other turn. Eat your creatures (including your commander), causing enemies to sac all their creatures. Reassembling Skeleton back to the field for a target to mutate on (or leave something there in the first place), reanimate everything that just died. Repeat until your opponents control nothing to block with. Also Avenger of Zendikar seems to be a reliable killer, now that I've added him in.

3.) Actually using Mutate.

Nethroi, Apex of Death > Novablast Wurm + Swiftfoot Boots = game over. Your ''commander' kills in 3 hits and there won't be any other creatures on the field during each combat step.

4.) Infinite Mill

Create a sac loop using Karmic Guide and Reveillark, using Altar of Dementia.

5.) Actually abuse mutate

Mutate your commander underneath Novablast Worm and then keep hitting people for 7 until they are dead, gottem.
