Stackmaster Wizard - Artisan of Frost (Mono-Blue) (Pioneer)

This is a Pioneer-tweaked version of my Legacy "Mimic" deck (centered around Artisan of Forms), this version is also Modern-legal. Artisan of Forms isn't as essential in this one, but if you check the card interactions, stuff gets really complex and really crazy when she's out.

Essentially you're playing cheap mono creatures and holding "protection" spells that really just equate to guaranteed, cheap, and unexpected (for your opponent) trade wins. The "freeze" mechanic of tapping and also the ability to untap (and thus stay "vigilant") lets this deck play insanely aggressive for a monoblue.

Hidden Strings and Triton Tactics utility value are off the charts in this, and for a player who knows how to manipulate the stack and timing interactions, its almost impossible for an opponent to trust anything they're seeing (or calculate out the possibilities).

It forces a lot of stalled attacks, which is great since you are able to attack aggressively; or just build up a shape-shifter legion of Prowess frost-flingers. Ridiculously fun to play - absolutely frustrating to play against. Manacurve is so smooth and fluid, and can easily play on a 2-land hand.

I trust it having a solid chance against any kind of deck, and it is an insanely good team synergy deck for 2HG or Emperor style formats.

If not for the Thassa's it is also stupidly cheap to build (she's not even super essential, but she has adds amazing utility if you have her).
