Hello all, and welcome to budget delver!

I was sitting around loathing the future existence of damping sphere, and wondering what to play next, when suddenly I had an epiphany: delver will never be banned, delver will never be 100% not viable in a given metagame, and delver doesn't have to be expensive to be good.

For those of you who are aware, delver is a tempo/control deck that tries to drop efficient creatures early (mainly delver of secrets) and then tries to stave off opponents' cards with removal and counterspells until you can attack enough times to finish them off. It cheap, interactive magic. You can't say the same for most decks in modern, can you?

Below is a list of possible cards that could be played in a budget delver deck. The most expensive one of these is remand at 6 dollars, which is not a necessity in order to play the deck. I did this because delver is a versatile and dynamic deck, and a slightly different build will be necessary for each format, and this seemed like a good starting point to build a delver deck without having to remember all of the choices off the top of my head.

I'm sure I have forgotten many cards on this list, so I hope you will post comments with suggestions, as well as delver lists you have come up with (UR only).
