[EDH] Kefnet the Mindful - Control Combo (EDH / Commander)

Kefnet the Mindful is the blue retake on the gods from Amonkhet with a cool activated ability on an indistructible flying manasink.

Thanks to the possibility to take back a land card while drawing a card, Kefnet feels perfect for a control deck with itself as win condition. Working around this idea, we need a good bunch of ramp to always have mana to interact with our opponent, an huge counterspell section and the best removal that blue can offer.

After this, we can focus on exploit our commander ability with cards like Double Face Modal Land, Foil, Tolaria West and Mystic Sanctuary. This last land can be used to combo off and gain infinite turn with cards like Time Warp.

Another cool way to use Kefnet's ability is with infinite mana to draw our entire deck and the easiest way is with Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter combo. From here we can win with cards like Laboratory Maniac but I prefere to use Blue Sun's Zenith as wincon and draw spell if needed.

Kefnet the Mindfull seems a solid deck with hateful playline (for our opponents) and overhall incarnate perfectly the spirit of mono u decks!

Kefnet the Mindful è la nuova versione di dio blu da Amonkhet con un'abilità attivata interessanta su un manasink voltante e indistruttibile.

Grazie alla possibilità di riprendere in mano una carta terra e pescare una carta, Kefnet sembra perfetto al comando di un mazzo control con se stesso come condizione di vittoria. Lavorando attorno a questa idea, ci servono un po' di ramp in modo da avere sempre mana per interagire con i nostri avversari, una bella sezione contromagia e le migliori rimozioni che il blu possa offrire.

Possiamo ora concentrarci sullo sfruttare l'abilità del nostro comandante con Terre Modali a doppia faccia, Foil, Tolaria West e Mystic Sanctuary. Quest'ultima terra può essere usata per scombare e giocare infiniti turni con carte come Time Warp.

Un altro modo simpatico di sfruttare l'abilità di Kefnet è con infinito mana per pescare l'intero mazzo e il modo più semplice è con la combo Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter. Da qui possiamo vincere con carte come Laboratory Maniac ma preferisco usare Blue Sun's Zenith come wincon e come peschino all'occorrenza.

Kefnet the Mindfull sembra un mazzo solido con giocate odiose (per i nostri avversari) e nel complesso incarna perfettamente lo spirito di mazzi mono u!
