This is a list of every effect you can get for free in Magic: the Gathering. It's probably complete, but if there's something I missed don't hesitate to leave a comment and I'll add it. I didn't add free mana effects, as I have all of those in a separate list found here.
I included every effect that could possibly be cast for free, no matter how crazy the circumstances under which it's free are. I'm not here to judge the cards, I'm just here to put them all in one big repository.
That being said though, cards that were free and did nothing without a mana investment were in fact cut. For instance Bone Saw, Cathar's Shield, Claws of Gix, etc. And while some of these may be useful to some extent, I'd rather only include cards that have some purpose, however narrow that may be.
The obvious exception to this is 0 costed creatures like Kobolds of Kher Keep and Memnite, but they don't really have to do anything to be useful, now do they?
