Main Deck: Golgari Midrange (3-3)
Highlight:
These bombs.
Lowlight:
N/A
Additional Comments:
Round 1, Game 1: I get stuck on lands (Not a lowlight, because it happens.)
Round 1, Game 2: I win a close one thanks to a topdecked Vraska, Relic Seeker.
Round 1, Game 3: I draw very well, but my opponent draws even better. They attacked a 5/6 Ripjaw Raptor into my 6/6 Tetzimoc, Primal Death. They followed up with a Raging Swordtooth to kill Tetzimoc. How was the Ripjaw Raptor become a 5/6? Well, let's take a look at all the cards I saw in our match:
0 Mana: N/A
1 Mana: N/A
2 Mana: Raptor Companion/Relentless Raptor
3 Mana: Blossom Dryad/Radiant Destiny/Territorial Hammerskull/Thrashing Brontodon/Wayward Swordtooth
4 Mana: Hunt the Weak/Ripjaw Raptor x 2/Thrash of Raptors x 2
5 Mana: Crested Herdcaller/Raging Swordtooth
6 Mana: Colossal Dreadmaw
(At least) 12 dinosaurs, and the only one under 3 power being Territorial Hammerskull (with Radiant Destiny there to provide said third point of power). This is the best Sealed deck I've ever faced that didn't involve planeswalkers (Ajani Steadfast, Liliana Vess, and Soul of Theros). No complaints, as I once had Dusk to Dawn, Wrath of God (Invocation), and Liliana, Death's Majesty; just wanted to note further ridiculousness.
My Round 3 opponent commented on the high quality of my bombs (without even knowing about The Immortal Sun) . . . in a nondestructive way! I wouldn't say that's quite a highlight, but the lack of bemoaning or vitriol was a nice surprise.
