Leovold 1.1 (EDH / Commander)

Introduction

This is a basic BUG-bordcontrolshell with a few changes to combo with Leovold (Geier Reach Sanitarium, Spellskite, Day's Undoing and Cephalid Coliseum). Since i play a bunch of creatures, i cut down on massremoval.

I dont play much Timetwister efffect, since there a pretty bad without my commander. Same goes for cards like Teferi's Puzzle Box, Howling Mine and alike.

Strategy

Most of this deck is designed around card advantage and the ability to have a mix of creatures for value and spells that either answer the board or further your game plan.

Cards like True-Name Nemesis, Tarmogoyf, Baleful Strix and Wall of Blossoms are there to cement our status on the board and function as well a a win condition.

Lots of removal and counterspells protect this plan, while backed up by a healthy mix of disruptive discard spells. This does not mean, that you can blindly throw your removal and counterspells at any targets, since you are trading most the the time 1v1.

That is where cards like Courser of Kruphix and Tasigur, the Golden Fang start to shine. They provide you with card advantage while stopping the bleeding of life points.

Thinks to work on

I am unsure, if i wanna keep the manadorks who only produce . Also i might play to much etb tapped lands. (Had before the issue, that my manabase was demanding too much life)

At the moment i am thinking about adding Survival of the Fittest, to resolve the issue around the manadorks. (Thanks Micha!)
