Korvold, Persist Combo King (EDH / Commander)

This is an aristocrats combo deck based on the persist combo.

For those of you that don`t know about the persist combo it goes like this. One of your creatures with persist die, they come back to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it. This is were the sweetness comes in, if you can give the creature a +1/+1 counter they cancel each other out. Likewise you can use an effect that stops from -1/-1 from being put onto your creatures and now you have an infinitely sac-able creature.

Lets talk about the combos!
The nice thing about this deck there are so many redundant pieces that even if one gets taken out you have backups for your backups. The down side of this deck is that it takes generally 3-4 card set up to go off. Without further a-do, the combos.

Non-creature boardwipe (this includes land destruction) = Woodfall Primus + -1/-1 negators + Sac outlet
Creature Boardwipe = Persist creature + -1/-1 negators + Yawgmoth, Thran Physician + Deathgreeter ( Deathgreeter allows you to use Thran infinitely as you will gain the life back every time you sac the persist creature)
Infinite Lifegain = Persist creature + -1/-1 negators + Deathgreeter
*In this deck list there is no pay off with this, but an argument for Aetherflux Reservoir
Infinite mana = Persist creature + -1/-1 negators + Sac outlet + Pitiless Plunderer
Infinite card draw = Persist creature + -1/-1 negators + Sac outlet + Korvold/Grim Haruspex/Smothering Abomination
Infinite damage = Persist creature (Murderous Redcap will do this by itself without the damage dealers) + -1/-1 negator + Sac outlet + Purphoros/Impact Tremors

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts cause sometimes you just need that I win button. That being said both are great utility cards in tier own rights.

There is a small goblin sub-theme to the deck, because of this we can capitalize on goblin tutors. Boggart Harbinger, Goblin Matron, and Goblin Recruiter can find many if not all the combo piece you need. The goblins in this deck all help on defense, Warteye Witch helps to get you to the cards, and Vexing Shusher makes sure your cards make it to the board. The rest of the deck is a standard assortment of good Jund cards to help you control the board, tutor up you winning pieces and a little ramping.
