Hapatra, Infected with Poisons (EDH / Commander)

Yes, it is infect!
I was really excited when this card got announced, it was different well costed and looked like it could have some interesting builds but I didn't want to do the general infinite combo Hapatra. So I started looking at how else I could do -1/-1 counters, Wither just didnt have enough support and the wrong colours, so I landed on infect. Though infect is the way to win with this deck it wasnt the main focus. The focus was on the damage done to other creatures done through -1/-1 counters.

With a ton of snakes this deck can do a few different things.
Snakes+Ashnod's Altar/Phyrexian Altar = Lots of Mana
Snakes+Viridian Longbow/Attrition = A re-useable kill spell
Snakes+Beastmaster Ascension/Overrun/Overwhelming Stampede = Often means a win.

Vhati il-Dal+Viridian Longbow+Any infect creature = Kill Spell

Now when your opponents see Infect hit the board you are going to have to find other ways to get damage through cause they will throw everything inform of them, so there is a nice package of Overrun effects (Overrun, Overwhelming Stampede, Kamahl, Fist of Krosa, and Craterhoof Behemoth) do a great job to push damage in. Remember you only need 10 infect damage to win. Secondly there is the evasion package (Buried Alive+Brawn(Trample)/Filth(Swampwalk) or Eldrazi Monument for flying.
