To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This deck was born out of spite. How many times have you been playing a game and your either the first targeted, or you have that one friend that just always goes off just a little to well or too quickly? Well I played many of those games and yah I got a little salty. So this is Captain Sisay's Legendary Hatebears. So a small disclaimer, this deck isn`t 100% dedicated hatebears, it is a legendary tool deck that focuses heavily on hatebear style cards. Lets get into it.
As I mentioned before this deck is a tool box style of deck, so you use Captian Sisay to find what you need at any moment.
General Hate:
Aven Mindcensor - Shuts down tutoring
Gaddock Teeg - Just shuts down high CMC decks
Hope of Ghirapur - Stops a spell heavy deck for a turn to go off
Iona, Shield of Emeria - Will completely shut down a mono coloured deck
Linvala, Keeper of Silence - This shuts down any kind of tapping deck
Melira, Sylvok Outcast - Infect. Rare to play against but happy to have when you do
Myojin of Cleansing Fire - Board Wipe
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben - Just a good taxing effect considering this deck runs 40 creatures
Thalia, Heretic Cathar - Slows down opponent's with creature based strategies and greedy mana bases
Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger - Everybody's most hated card. Control the lands
Artifact Hate:
Glissa Sunseeker - Reusable artifact destruction
Kataki, War's Wage - Makes your opponent's commit resources if they want to keep their rocks or game plan going
Defence:
Avacyn, Angel of Hope - Who doesn't love indestructible
Baird, Steward of Argive - Makes your opponent's commit resources for attacking
Dragonlord Dromoka - Allows you to do what you want on your turn
Hua Tuo, Honored Physician - Grave recursion
Masako the Humorless - Allows you to commit to attacking with less fear of crack back
Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker - Encourages opponents to attack else were if they want to keep their things
Shalai, Voice of Plenty/Sigarda, Host of Herons - General protect from spells and edict effects
Yomiji, Who Bars the Way - Recursion for almost all your creatures.
Advantage:
Azusa, Lost but Seeking - Early game ramp
Karametra, God of Harvests- Constant ramp while you play creatures (you do this a lot). Best part is it doesn`t say basic and that does matter
Reki, the History of Kamigawa - Probably best card draw for the deck
Seedborn Muse - Allows Captian Sisay to activate each turn
Selvala, Heart of the Wilds - This deck is mana hungry and this card helps with that, as well with card draw as you will be putting in big bombs constantly
Soul of the Harvest - Card draw
So key thing to mention is that Sisay just say "Search your library for a Lengend/Legendary card," so lands, planeswalkers, and spells call all be searched.
Freyalise & Vivien Reid - Destroy enchantments and artifacts
Ugin is a boardwipe
Hall of the Bandit Lord - makes hasty creatures
Mistveil Plains - puts cards back into your library to be hunted up later
Yavimaya Hollow - gives a little protection for you commander
Dominaria gave use a could great tools in Kamahl's Druidic Vow, which is basically a Genesis Wave for legendaries, and Urza's Ruinous Blast which is a board wipe that leave all our legendaries. So so good.
There is no combos for winning in this deck. It is strait damage based. This should be fairly doable considering most of the creatures in the deck are fairly big threats
Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite - Pump you and shrink the opponents forces
Kamahl, Fist of Krosa - Overrun on a creature
Heliod, God of the Sun/Nylea, God of the Hunt - Trample and Vigilance
Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist - Allows you to do big swings with little fear of the crack back
Odric, Master Tactician - Allows you to set up favorable blocks
Odric, Lunarch Marshal - This deck is like Keyword soup. Odric allows you to spread the love to all your creatures
