The idea of this deck is to play the strongest 1-3 drops in the format, strong-arming other fair decks with better value cards and using hate-cards fetchable with Collected Company to win otherwise unfavorable matchups.

I chose Bant over Abzan mostly out of personal preference. I like running this kind of deck in a beat-down style rather than the poison-counter combo that Abzan would run. It also frees up slots that Abzan would be using for otherwise undervalued creatures and Chord of Calling for more of the creatures that I would like to play.
Bant over Naya is a lot more straightforward. The main draw in my opinion of running red is Wild Nacatl and Kessig Wolf Run, while the main draw of running blue is a more favorable burn matchup with Rhox War Monk, the unchecked win-con that is Geist of Saint Traft, Meddling Mage for the combo decks, Celestial Colonnade, and taking full advantage of our Noble Hierarch and Spellskite.

EDIT: For extra spicy spice, I'm trying to replace Geist of Saint Traft with Skaab Ruinator. Skaab doesn't have the body problems giest does, and is recurable for the very late game. I want to see ruinator about as often as I'd want to see geist, so it's just a one for one trade.
