I disassembled this deck in February 2020.

I love Magic's angels. Not only because they're (usually) above-average powerful flyers; but mainly because artists like Greg Staples (Archangel of Strife), Terese Nielsen (Basandra, Battle Seraph) and Jason Chan (Angelic Overseer) manage to depict them as the majestic and breathtakingly beautiful divine beings they're supposed to be.
Quite some time ago, I changed the theme of my Akroma EDH deck from angel/human to voltron. To this day I am very content with the result, but I still wanted to have a deck which has that peculiar "shepherd and flock" flavor, so I did a Gatherer query, found Sigarda, Heron's Grace, and assembled this list.
Sigarda is able to create an army (almost) out of thin air, but her static ability is also very powerful. Giving all of my humans hexproof means that I may effectively use creatures which are usually not that good in EDH, like Ulvenwald Tracker, Knight of the Reliquary and Captain Sisay. Since, as creatures, they are affected by summoning sickness I'm often not able to get any value from them, because they get killed before my next untap step. But Sigarda shelters them all, so unless someone wipes the board or kills my commander I can use them reliably and repeatedly.
And besides, giving ME hexproof is also a good thing. Some time ago, during one of the first games with this deck, a friend targeted me with a Villainous Wealth, with X being somewhere around 10. While he was cheerfully grabbing my Avacyn, Angel of Hope from among the cards I exiled from the top of my library, I read Sigarda's rules text again and pointed out that I wasn't a legal target for his spell. Needless to say, he was not amused.

Game plan:
a) Get some cards into my graveyard to turn into human creature tokens.
b) Play Sigarda.
c) Create an army of humans and angels, buff them with +1/+1 counters, and go to town.

The deck turned out to be surprisingly strong, due to its many tutors and its resilience - my whole army may have hexproof and indestructible, and even if my creatures die I have several ways to return them to play.
I would love to hear about your impression of my design, so please leave a comment. Thanks!
