To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
The goal of this deck is to use Paradox Engine to combo off with Arcades, the Strategist, and a bunch of creatures with defender. Unlike many other Arcades decks, this deck doesn't aim to win by bashing face with walls and other big butted defenders. The main idea of the deck is that if you get out enough mana sources like mana rocks, or defenders like Axebane Guardian, you can churn through your deck by cheap walls and drawing a bunch of cards, netting mana as you go. The secondary Arcades effects are Beast Whisperer and Soul of the Harvest to help you draw even more cards per wall and Panharmonicon makes everything go crazy. Brago, King Eternal and Eerie Interlude blink everything, drawing you a card for each defender you control. There are many infinite combos with Paradox Engine as well. Cloudstone Curio and two defenders can go infinite if you have enough nonland mana to cover the cost of the defenders and Arcades to draw through your deck. Temur Sabertooth goes infinite in a similar way with only one defender, and Quicksilver Wall can go infinite if you have 7 nonland mana sources available. Once you draw your whole deck, the primary win condition is Laboratory Maniac. If that doesn't work, you can kill them a more convoluted way by playing Basilica Guards and use one of the aforementioned cast a defender an infinite number of times combos to extort you opponents an infinite number of times. For this combo you need to kill of your card drawing effects because Arcades and Beast Whisperer aren't may abilities so you will deck yourself. For that you can use removal like Swords to Plowshares. This deck has a lot of tutors to help assemble all of its combos. It plays a fair number of wraths, with the coolest being Crush of Tentacles, which lets you cast all of your defenders again to draw more cards. I am open to any suggestions on how to improve this deck.
