Intro:
The main win condition of the deck is draining the oponnents by sacrificing Shadowborn Apostle (Zulaport Cutthroat and Ayara, First of Locthwain).
The deck can mass summon Shadowborn (Secret Salvage and Thrumming Stone),
has graveyard recursion to keep summoning demons (Patriarch’s Bidding and Twilight’s Call),
can generate enormous amounts of mana to combo off (Crypt Ghast, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Extraplanar Lens)
has a powerful draw engine (Skullclamp)
many tutors to get what we want (Beseech the Queen,...)Combo example: (Thrumming Stone + Shadowborn Apostle)
-Cast Thrumming Stone
-Next turn don't drop a land unless you have Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
-Cast Shadowborn Apostle and usually you will be able to summon as many Shadowborn Apostles as you want (20+)
-Sacrifice 6 Shadowborn Apostles to get Razaketh, the Foulblooded
-Use Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get the following shopping list
. - Phyrexian Altar
. - at least 1 drainer (Ayara, First of Locthwain or Zulaport Cutthroat)
. - Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
. - Twilight's Call and/or Patriarch’s Bidding
- Use Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx 20+ floating mana to cast all the permanents listed
- Sacrifice as much as you can. (You can sacrifice 6 Shadowborn Apostle to get Archfiend of Despair to enhance the damage)
- If someone is still alive cast Twilight's Call or Patriarch’s Bidding with Phyrexian Altar and keep sacrificing.
