To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This Old-School deck comes back from an old era of MTG so be not surprised if it looks not realy competetive. Believe me, back in that times it rocks realy hard. And please remember, it is Old-School magic. Today you are not allowed to play 4 Channel in your deck!
Manabase
All we need are our 4 Taigas for the manabase and many stuff to fetch them.
We also play 2 Forests and 2 Mountains in case of Wasteland or Blood Moon.
Mox Ruby, Mox Smaragt and Black Lotus are obvious back in this time and they are now in Vintage.
Creatures
Kird Ape is our favourite turn 1 drop. 2/3 for one mana? thats amazing!
Gorilla Shaman! Would you like to play a mox while facing him? Oh you play a Time Vault? Breakfast!
Ball Lightning because Aggro and Damage (also a nice turn 1 wincon)
Noncreatures
Browbeat = Damage or carddraw. A win/win Situation.
Chain Lightning/Lightning Bolt = Damage!!!
Concordant Crossroads and the game would be over fast.
Win-Combos
Channel + Fireball = up to 19 Damage in turn one
Ball Lightning + Berserk + Berserk = 24 Damage
Sideboard
Blood Moon if we like to board to Mono-Red
Browbeat if carddraw is more important then damage
Chain Lightning if damage is more important then carddraw
Concordant Crossroads if we have to in in turn three or faster
Fog helps against nearly every fast aggro decks
Mountain to board Mono-Red
Shatter in case of giant artifacts out Gorilla Shaman can't eat (back then there was no Naturalize)
