I've seen a few lists floating around out there, this is a list that uses Ayara to help speed up the life drain. Also, I'm splashing green for Abrupt Decay. The original mono-black devotion list was better when splashing green and I believe this list is as well. Not only does it give you Abrupt Decay to answer all kinds of juice, but you get Heroic Intervention in the sideboard. If you are going all in on Pack Rat it is nice to have a defensive card like this in the sideboard.

I'm also running Kalitas main deck. This will be shaped by the meta, but it is fantastic with Ayara. Ayara can do a lot of work with Zombie and Rat tokens.

Perhaps the biggest difference is that I'm not running Underworld Connections. Connections was an all-star the first time around, but I am afraid it is going to drastically slow things down. I went with creatures to help draw cards in the main. Glint-Sleeve Siphoner is an excellent tempo play turn two to force removal or draw a card. I admit it is weaker without Aether Hub, so I will have to wait and see if this pays off.

The removal package in the deck is pretty sweet. My additions are, again Abrupt Decay and Ravenous Chupacabra. Chuppa is great with the Whip and Works well in tandem with Kalitas.
