The strategy of Cavalcade has not changed, just a few of the pieces. Kiln Fiend is a major addition to the deck as it is not that difficult to get it attacking for 7 on turn three. Fairly significant backup plan alongside Chandra's Spitfire. The deck plays enough burn to finish games out just on that after a little work is put in turns 1-3.

I feel that Cavalcade is one of those decks that is a gem in bo1, but gets extremely weaker with sideboarding. My attempt to improve this is to do a full transformation into RDW. I'm siding in Goblin Chainwhirler, Runaway Steam-Kin, Experimental Frenzy, Bonecrusher Giant // Stomp and a Mountain for game 2. While the two decks are both aggressive in nature, the opponent would likely sideboard very differently for both matchups. One concern is that they will side in removal for Cavalcade, thus still having a target in Frenzy. I'm considering Torbran as my top end if this turns out to be the case.

The overall goal is to steal game 1 with the surprise element of Cavalcade. Cavalcade is going to have a significant game 1 advantage on most decks since its parts are so much cheaper than the opponents removal.

Game 2 and 3 should be closer to even in winning percentage, however if you factor in that the opponent has probably botched their sideboarding then it increases my chances. In most cases I will only need to win 1 out of the last two, which is highly likely since RDW leaves very little room for mistakes by the opponent. There is also the option to go back to Cavalcade game three on the play to see if I can steal another game before the opponent even has a chance to establish a board presence.
