Buncha goth punks running around (Modern)

An updated, monoblack version of my Hot Vampire Party.

Early game: Vampire Cutthroat dings your opponent while building your life count; Viscera Seer enables scry as a chumpblocker and dings opponent/builds you up if you also have Blood Artist out, plus makes Tragic Slip a real threat. Vampire Hexmage hangs around to increase devotion and eliminate planeswalkers/wither counters/poison counters. Vampire Nighthawk, while a real threat, mostly exists to put pressure on the opponent to remove him - Blood Artist, Viscera Seer, and Vampire Cutthroat all work in tandem as a "creeping" threat and are harder to remove all at once than Nighthawk.

High devotion to black means you'll be playing high-cost combos by turn 4 with Nykthos, enabling Bloodline Keeper's transform early on and keeping your vamps alive for Captivating Vampire's tap ability.

If an opponent has protection from black in their deck, swap Drana out for Falkenrath Noble and Heir of Falkenrath for Indulgent Aristocrat. Concentrate on targeting yourself via sacrificing and Tragic Slip to trigger Falkenrath Noble and Blood Artist's life drain.
