To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
So. Let's walk through this deck. It has 16 one-drops, 16 two-drops, 8 three-drops and 20 lands. So its a fast-paced, low mana deck. I've restructured the deck quite a bit since I first built it, but my goal has been to make cheap, yet effective threats with lots of options. It runs Favored Hoplite and Avatar of the Resolute, both of which are good initial cards that also have growth potential. Flecemane Lion also serves as a threat the opponent has to deal with or suffer the consequences. And Loxodon Smiter is a great, uncounterable damage dealer that also discourages people from making you discard. In terms of instants, I'm running a lot of protective spells, such as Dawn Charm and Brave the Elements, the second of which can also get my creatures through for damage. Selesnya Charm gives me a ridiculous number of options as do many of my other cards. There are a few cards I haven't talked about, but I think you'll see how my deck fits together to both protect and buff my creatures as well as to counter spells and remove troublesome creatures and enchantments.
