[PDH] Blaze Commando (v2.0) (EDH / Commander)

The is the first PDH deck made by my partner. The first build was made entirely by them, but after many games, this is what we've done to fix him up. Surprisingly, there is such a thing as too much burn, hilariously. The amount of damage from the burns is the least-important part, we just need any mention of damage to make Blaze Commando trigger. What's better is card draw.

We need ramp and protection. The deck is sick when it works, but as an explosively-powerful he will draw aggro, but as a 5 CMC commander outside of green if he's killed twice, you won't be recasting him. For this reason, set up with pingers and rocks, then drop him while holding up removal and/or an instant to get value out of him. If a blue player counters him, that's simple, you hunt the offending player down until the end of time and into the darkest of voids for their transgressions. Or just add Red Elemental Blast and Pyroblast, maybe Mana Tithe and Lapse of Certainty, and pray.

Really fun deck if you can manage with the awkward commander!
