Mono U Tron (Update 2022) (Modern)

Mono U Tron acting as a Toolbox Deck. Tron is desired, but not a necessarity. Counter wisely and be aware of all the small synergies between the cards. Needs lot of practice but makes a lot of fun killing you enemy with Wurmcoil Engine, Wurm Tokens, Mindslaver Lock, Sharks or 7/7 Blue Giant Creatures. Can win out of nowhere.

Basic Strategy:

• Important to survive first turns. Slow down the opponents with Remand, Repeal, Condescend
• Get card advantage with Supreme Will and Thirst for Knowledge.
• When necessary search for Tron pieces with Expedition Map or when necessary Tolaria West.
• Use Karn to get what you need

Win-Cons:

• Mindslaver Lock (Mindslaver + Academy Ruins + 12 Mana (1 must be blue)
• Wurmcoil Engine
• Big Shark Token from Cycling Shark Typhoon (Use Spell Burst to cast big Counter with Buyback and generate Tokens with every counter.)
• 7/7 Blue Giant Creature from Hall of Storm Giants

Some lovely interactions (to be continued..):

1. Bounce Oboro, Palace in the Clouds for 1 after Mana activation and play again if there were no land drop this turn to get a second blue source.
2. Bounce Oboro, Palace in the Clouds to protect any other Card from forced discard eg. Liliana +1 ability.
3. Tolaria West transmute into other land eg. Academy Ruins or any other CMC0 Card like Walking Ballista or Chalice of the Void.
4. Repeal Chalice of the Void to Change it to another Counter (eg. from 0 to 1 or 2)
5. Repeal own Snapcaster Mage to draw Card and then Repeal again with Snapcaster Mage triggered ability.
6. Remand own spell if the spell got countered by Opponent to get Card Advantage.
7. Condescend for 0 to Scry 2
8. Otawara, Soaring City to Bounce opponent permanents or protect own permanents.
9. Karn, the great creator to get from Sideboard! or Exile! what you need. (Wurmcoil Engine, Sundering Titan, Engineered Explosives, Chalice of the Void etc.)
10. Blast Zone acts as alternative to Oblivion Stone, or Engineered Explosives
11. Use Liquimetal Coating ability to make Opponents lands to artifacts and then use Karn, the Great Creator´s +1 ability to force the land to become a creature with P/T 0/0 which dies as state based action.
12. Use Liquimetal Coating ability to make Shark Typhoon an artifact and then use Karn, the Great Creator´s +1 ability to get a 6/ artifact creature.
