To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
The basic gist of this deck is to play a bunch of gigantic sea monsters, and then to mill people with them instead of hitting people. This, I believe, is the most deceptive way to play a sea monster tribal deck, with Phenax, God of Deception being the most deceptive of all creatures. If you don't find this amusing then this deck isn't for you.
Maximal Deceit:
This deck has Phenax, God of Deception, the Disciple of Deceit, and the Wall of Deceit. Clearly, this deck cannot have any more deceit.
Key Cards/Combos:
Phenax, God of Deception + Eater of the Dead: This combo is clearly degenerate but sometimes you actually want to win the game. Since there is no Swiftfoot Boots or Lightning Greaves in this deck to give haste to Eater of the Dead, this card is basically like Felidar Sovereign in a life-gain deck: your opponents have one turn to remove it or else you win.
Arbiter of the Ideal + Freed from the Real or Pemmin's Aura: this allows you to use the Inspired trigger on Arbiter of the Ideal many times in one turn, and to put all non-enchantment permanents you hit off the top of your deck into play. If you hit an enchantment or a non-permanent spell, you can always try milling yourself to keep going.
Guiltfeeder + Traumatize: This will make Guiltfeeder hit for over 40 damage.
Altar of Dementia + Consuming Aberration: If any player has at least 1/4 of their library in their graveyard, this will mill them out.
Jalira, Master Polymorphist + Mortus Strider: This combo allows for one polymorph each turn.
Stormtide Leviathan will prevent everything from attacking, which gives you more time to mill people. Whelming Wave, Engulf the Shore, and Scourge of Fleets are all usually one-sided board wipes since they do not affect your massive sea monsters. These also give you more time to mill people.
Giant Octopus + Elder Deep-Fiend is another flavor win. If you pull it off, you basically win on principle even if neither card is actually that good.
