White Black and I have a...tumultuous history. But once again, I am sure I can salvage this relationship, so I am going back. Sure, Orzhov may have hurt me in the past, but this time is different! They say they've changed!
My idea for this deck is an aristocrats/token strategy. I wanted to take advantage of Teysa's first ability, while also getting value out of her second ability. Only testing will tell, and I won't be assembling this deck anytime soon, but I wanted to put it out there.
Edit 1: Holy crap. I finally came back to update this decklist almost a year after I made it, and wow my deck list has changed! Needless to say, the deck is amazing. I regularly play it at my LGS on commander night, and I play to win. This deck contains a good amount of infinite combos now, because it needed some solid finishers. Teysa, Orzhov Scion and Darkest hour is infinite sac, creatures and possibly mana in this deck. Revilark + Karmic Guide + any sac outlet is an infinite recursion loop. The third and final intentional loop is Yosei the Morning Star + Lifeline + sac outlet. Sac Yosei with the outlet, target the next turn player to make them skip their next 2 untap steps, and taping down 10 permanents they control (their land & creatures). During the end phase, Yosei comes back, allowing you to repeat the process for each player, locking them out of the game.
Edit 2: Updated the preamble to make it sound creepy, because what didn't kill me gave me a really dark sense of humor and unhealthy coping mechanisms. Also, added some of the new (at time of writing) foretell cards, which have seen some serious success in pickup games. Rise of the Dread Marn can turn the tide of a game after a board wipe off your turn, especially if you can get Teysa out the turn after, giving them all Vigilance and Lifelink. Doomskar might be the strongest white board wipe ever created. This deck is strong, I'd put it at about an 8-8.5/10
Edit 3: With the release of Strixhaven, I have added in Archeomancer's Map. This is a card that White has been needing for a while now. It's floor is slightly worse than Kodama's Reach or Cultivate, but the first land you play off turn with it puts it literally at the same level. Every land you get out after is just gravy at that point. Combining it with Land Tax means you WILL have the same amount of land as whoever is playing green at the table.
Edit 4: And white just keeps getting cards! Dropped in Esper Sentinel, as it's one of the best white draw pieces that has been printed in years. Swapped out Sifter of Skulls for Demon's Disciple as I think having the board control at less mana is better than the token gen at 4.
Edit 5: Decent sized edit this go around. Pulled out Thalisse, Reverent Medium in favor of Recruiter of the Guard, which is a card I didn't know about prior to now. Also pulled out Regna, the Redeemer and Krav, the Unredeemed as while they are fun cards, I wanted to smooth out my early game by putting in the previously removed Fellwar Stone, along with the new Moonsilver Key. Moonsilver Key allows for quick fetching of Phyrexian Altar and Ashnod's Altar, and at worst it grabs sol ring. If none of those cards are in the deck to be targeted, odds are I'm already winning. Eat your heart out Nitpicking Nerds, you were wrong about Moonsilver Key!
Edit 6: Removed Phyrexian Rebirth in favor of Damn, as the flexibility of Damn is worth more than the token. Also pulled out Fracture, and put in By Invitation Only. Fracture is fine removal, but it's limited, and this deck isn't really hurting for single target removal. By Invitation Only is another flexible board wipe that gets around indestructible AND you get to potentially mitigate the negative effects to yourself. Lastly, I swapped out Mentor of the Meek for Welcoming Vampire as in commander being limited to drawing 1 per turn isn't really a restriction, especially when it's relatively easy to make one or two 1/1's at instant speed in White and black.
Edit 7: Removed Darkest hour and Teysa, Orzhov Scion in favor of Rite of Oblivion and Saw in Half. Despite what Deckstats currently reports, Saw in Half is legal in Commander. I think the deck works fine and gets consistent enough wins without the combo, and Darkest Hour is basically a dead draw without Teysa, Orzhov Scion.
Edit 8: Removed Yosei the Morning Star, added Mondrak, Glory Dominus. The Yosei + Lifeline combo got some (rightfully deserved) complaints from my group because it doesn't end the game on it's own while locking them out of the game. I totally understand this position, so I took out the problem card from the combo. Mondrak, Glory Dominus offers a ton of value and is basically another copy of Anointed Procession. Lifeline remains in the deck as it's one of the most powerful cards in this deck.
Edit 9: Took out Cathars crusade, put The Meathook Massacre back in. I'd tested with this card for a bit before and liked it but at the time I was playing in a meta that didn't commit creatures to the board. Now that my play group is focusing more on creatures, I think Meathook does a better job of keeping things in check and triggers more often. Also took out Sun Titan and Grave Titan, replaced with Elas Il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim and Drivnod, Carnage Dominus. Sun Titan's CMC was just too much; as much as it's a pet card of mine the time has come to cut it. I've replaced it with Elas Il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim as another low to the ground drain effect. Grave Titan has much the same problem even though the tokens are more valuable than normal in this deck due to Teysa. I replaced it with Drivnod, Carnage Dominus as it's 1 CMC lower that Grave Titan, and it gives me a backup version of my commander's primary effect.
