Deck Record as of 12/13/18: 4-4
My current Flagship deck, not the most competitive but arguably the strongest.
Plan A:Llight artifact storm theme, getting out tons of artifacts and then bouncing them back to hand to double cast them for Aetherflux Reservoir and beam people.
Plan B: Use Myr Incubator to create a Myr Army to swarm an opponent, or feed it to Ironworks to dump into Comet Storm or Walking Ballista
Plan C: Sneak a win with Hellkite Tyrant on someone's end step by flashing it with Vedalken Orrery.
Plan D: Last resort because the combination is so nasty. You need Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain on the board, a free or cost reduced to free mana rock to produce at least 1 generic, and Words of Wind on the board. You cast the rock and tap it for 1 to activate Words of Wind, bounce the rock, then recast it and keep repeating that loop and you can clear opponents entire board, including lands. At that point if you don't win on the spot, it shouldn't be far away.
The deck generates a lot of value, but it is very difficult to do without Jhoira herself on the board. Priority 1 is getting Jhoira on the board and online, with some protection if available. Recasting Jhoira is feasible if need be, even if it's 3-5 times with all the ramp included. The opening hand is very important to have at least one colored mana included, if not having red and blue. There is so much ramp it's hard not to get it but I almost want at least 1 rock included as well to get Jhoira out by turn 2-3.
Deck Strengths:
-I find new synergies with this sometimes, everything "Just works".
-Massive Card Advantage. If I'm not already holding an answer to start with, digging for one is fairly easy.
Deck Weaknesses:
-Psychological Warfare. This deck is strong, and Jhoira is earning a bad rep as a storm out commander. Playing this deck will get you targeted no matter how you play it.
-General-Focused. With Jhoira not on the field, the consistency is shot.
-Mass Artifact Removal. Bouncing and Counter magic can prevent it, but eating one could be catastrophic.
-Enchantments. Unless it's countered this deck has difficulty dealing with problematic enchantments. Just part of the deal with the slices of the color pie. Chaos Warp is about all you have, or getting lucky with Chaos wand.
-Combat Damage. Oddly enough one of the easiest ways to beat this deck is just that...beating on it. Until you can get some creature tokens on the field you may be going it alone.
